Lines to Torrington
- Lines to Torrington
- The railway linking Barnstaple with Halwill was no ordinary branch line, being constructed in five stages to three gauges over 77 years. Originally Bideford had a broad gauge station, then Torrington became the terminus of the LSWR North Devon line with through trains from Waterloo, later becoming the operational centre for two branch lines.
- This volume covers the history of the various railways that developed in the area right up to the last train which ran in 1982.
