Glyn Valley Tramway
- The Glyn Valley Tramway
- First conceived in 1857, The Glyn Valley Tramway did not become reality until 1872. Like so many other minor railways it was destined to secure, in the eyes of the promoters, the prosperity of the Ceiriog Valley for the future and, with the advent of the motor vehicle, its useful service to the local community was brought to an abrupt end in 1935.
- The Glyn Valley Tramway, unlike some of the better known Welsh narrow gauge railways, was not well documented throughout its history. John milner, who has spent the past 30years devoted to the study of narrow gauge railway history, as well as practical involvement, together with running a business, designing and building minitaure steam railways, has succeeded, through many years of detailed research, in the presentation of a detailed and fascinating account of the history of the Tramway
